Vinted Shoppers Voice Anger About Size Changes
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Social Media Response
Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category than originally posted due to the recalibration.
Vinted explained the new system was more in line with other platforms.
They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Updates
Earlier, the sizing featured one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
A different member, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Platform Context
The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance where an unanticipated change to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, Vinted reversed a change to its shipping options after backlash from users.
